Artist talk: an evening with Rob Woodcox
- This event has passed.
March 27 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Cost: $30

Third Door Brooklyn is so honored to welcome Rob Woodcox into their space for an intimate artist talk.
Rob is a fine art photographer and film director whose work lives at the intersection of the human body, the natural world, and the stories we carry inside both. He is known for his images of bodies stalled in motion, a deeply choreographed exploration of what the human form can say when given space to speak. Through each image, he strives to capture fragments of a vivid life woven from the threads of reality, memory, and dreams. The result is something that stops you in your tracks.
His work is inseparable from his advocacy. Rob has produced projects raising consciousness and conversation around the US foster system and adoption, queer identity, body neutrality, racial equality, and environmental justice, all causes that aren’t peripheral to his art but woven into its very core. In 2025, he was awarded the prestigious Erarta Prize at the Zona Maco Art Fair for his photograph Otherworld, recognized by public vote as the standout piece of the fair.
Rob moves fluidly between mediums. He released his first photographic art book Bodies of Light in 2020, made his directorial debut with We Are Molecular in partnership with the Royal Ballet in London, and his short film Honey to the Moon screened at the Oscar-qualifying Provincetown International Film Festival.
This conversation will be as much about process as it is about image. What does it mean to use your art as a vehicle for something larger than yourself?
Come ready to be moved, to ask questions, and to sit with someone who has dedicated his life to finding beauty and truth in equal measure.
