For the fourth installment of Cinema From the Margins, Adams Street Library will be screening the film The Woman King (2021). This a historical action-adventure film retelling the story of the leading general (played by Viola Davis) of the Agojie, a women’s warrior unit that protected the West African kingdom of Dahomey during the 17th – 19th centuries.

This movie is rated PG-13 and has a runtime of 2 hour and 15 minutes.
