Cookbook Club: Japanese Summer + DIY Onigiri
July 30 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Cost: $25

This summer, Cookbook Club is partnering with Culturally Curious Club to explore and celebrate the food and culture of Tokyo. You’ve tried sushi and ramen, but have you explored the spectrum of Japanese street food? Enjoy an evening of diving into Tokyo street food culture where you’ll learn by cooking and tasting.
What to Expect:
Each gathering focuses on recipes from a featured author’s cookbook. For this evening, you will explore the food of Tokyo as shared by Maori Murota in Tokyo Cult Recipes. Maori Murota is a Tokyo native chef and educator living in Paris. Tokyo Cult Recipes is an introduction to the dishes of the city she grew up in — from memories of family meals at home to restaurant cooking.
In addition to sharing a potluck meal of dishes from Tokyo Cult Recipes, attendees will be making Onigiri with rice and a selection fillings.
