Always thought about trying improv? Did you get shocked by the big fancy price tag? Or intimidated by ‘professionals’ in NYC? Do you just want to loosen up, play around, and meet some fun people?

YES! YES! YES… AND?! Then this is the class for you!

Welcome Improv for Life! A 6-week fundamentals of Improv Comedy class for anyone looking to experience more connection and belonging with themselves and others at home, work, or out in the world.

In this class, you will explore how Improv helps you nurture and re-learn your natural beginner’s mindset to suspend judgment and embrace the unexpected; skills that foster the inclusion and belonging we want to experience in all of our communities!
In this class you will primarily play theater games and exercises. Why? Because learning something takes 10x less when you are playing a game!

Some topics covered include:

– Building Improv Basics and Fundamentals of Yes, and

– Generating Offers and Co-creation

– Ensemble listening/Group Mind

– Jump, Justify, and Follow Your Feet

– Playing an Expert and Becoming what is Needed

– Status and Specificity

At the conclusion of the class there will be a performance where you can invite your friends, family, and anyone who cares to bring popcorn and laugh for an hour with you.

About your teacher:
