Movies with a View: Trainwreck

This summer, Brooklyn Bridge Park celebrates their 25th season of Brooklyn’s beloved free outdoor film series Pluto TV Movies with a View on Thursdays, July 10 – August 28 at Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn. This season, their films feature movies by and starring leading women with the theme of “Women In Hollywood”.

On August 14, join for Trainwreck (R, 2015, 125 minutes). Written by and starring Brooklyn’s own Amy Schumer, Trainwreck delivers sharp laughs and real emotion as it follows a commitment-averse woman who unexpectedly falls in love. Directed by Judd Apatow, this comedy spotlights Schumer’s fearless voice and fierce humor. Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actress; Golden Globe nominations for Best Picture (Comedy) and Best Screenplay (Schumer).

Pre-show entertainment by Isis Swaby; DJs courtesy of Subatomic Sound. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets, and kindly reminded that chairs and dogs are not permitted on the lawn, and glass bottles/containers and outside alcohol are never allowed in the Park. Guests may bring their own food, or purchase movie concessions on site including popcorn, candy, and ice cream by OddFellows. Water, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages (for those 21+) will be available for sale at our Bar by Fornino to be enjoyed on-site.
