ABOUT THE ARTIST
John Roseboro is a Haitian-American singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer, and visual artist whose singular approach to songwriting has established him as one of the most compelling emerging voices in contemporary independent music. Based in Brooklyn, Roseboro has cultivated a sound that exists outside conventional genre boundaries—melding Brazilian bossa nova and MPB, indie folk, jazz, soul, alternative rock, and devotional music into what he has described as “post-bossa.” Characterized by intricate fingerstyle guitar, understated arrangements, poetic lyricism, and his unmistakably warm, buttery tenor, his music feels at once timeless and deeply modern.
