Adams Street Library presents Cazorla + Saleme’s inaugural solo exhibition and their first in Brooklyn. Inspired by countless walks through the Brooklyn Bridge Park and hours contemplating New York City’s skyline at sunset and sunrise, “As the Clocks Were Striking the Hour” offers a powerful expression of introspection in unsettling times.

Cazorla + Saleme are a collaborative duo whose work addresses issues of social justice, migration, and cultural identity through drawing, painting, installation, and public art. Since 2010, they have exhibited widely in the U.S. and internationally, while engaging deeply with community-based art projects. Their practice celebrates nature, memory, and the power of contemplation.

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of Adams Street Library.
