RETURN OF THE BUFFALO: TATANKA OWE AKUPI
September 19 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Part spectacle, part ritual, Return of the Buffalo: Tatanka Owe Akupi invites us to join the herd as they roam, graze, and run wild through downtown Brooklyn, encountering live music, poetry, ceremonies, and performances along the way. Inspired by the buffalo’s extraordinary return—from near extinction to repopulation—Return of the Buffalo ushers in a new period of healing.
On Saturday, September 19, the herd will march through Downtown Brooklyn from 2–4:30pm. The Brooklyn procession will travel from Abolitionist Place to Brooklyn Bridge Park, with artistic activations along the way.
