Stump Gallery presents What Time Is It?, the inaugural solo exhibition of Lithuanian-Swiss artist Mindaugas Matulis (b. 1997), currently pursuing his MFA in Studio Art at Hunter College, New York.

The exhibition features twelve paintings from an ongoing series based on photographs and collage material. Each work represents a segment of time—a minute, an hour, a fleeting moment—capturing time not as linear, but as a looping narrative. Configured as modular units, the paintings can be endlessly rearranged, with each sequence unfolding a new version of the story.

Symbols of beauty, decay, and luxury appear throughout: the gloss of wealth, the lure of fame, the remnants of consumption. What Time Is It? asks viewers to reflect on the illusions of prosperity and the shifting values of a culture enthralled by image and spectacle.
