DESCRIPTION:One of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s most popular series\, Movies With A View presented by Persol\, returns for its 26th season with outdoor films on Thursday evenings in July and August – expanding with an additional family film night on September 18. \nJoin for first film of the epic franchise thirty years in the making – revisit the original movie Jurassic Park (PG-13\, 1993\, 122 minutes)\, when scientists first set foot on Isla Nubar and encounter the adventure of a lifetime. \nCome early to enjoy a picnic on the lawn and refreshing waterfront breezes\, with New York Harbor and Manhattan skyline views like no other as the sun sets. Entry is free and first-come\, first serve starting at 6:00 PM. Movies begin at sunset. \nGuests are welcome to bring their own food for picnicking and encouraged to support nearby Park concessions and neighborhood restaurants. Popcorn\, water\, soft drinks\, and alcoholic beverages (for those 21+) will be available for sale on-site by Fornino. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or small soft cushions but reminded that lawn chairs and dogs are not permitted on the lawn\, and glass bottles and outside alcohol are never allowed in the Park.

DESCRIPTION:Glide along the water this summer and fall with free public kayaking! \nPresented in partnership with Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse\, free kayaking is offered throughout the summer on Wednesday and Thursday evenings\, Saturdays\, and Sunday afternoons. All levels are welcome including first-time kayakers — life vests and all equipment provided\, as well as instruction. Children under 18 must have an adult guardian present. Meet at the north entrance of Pier 2\, look for the floating dock. \nAdvanced registration highly recommended\, providing 20 minute timed slots. Registration opens 2 weeks ahead of each date through the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse website. View all kayaking dates here. Occasionally\, walk-up spots may be available\, but not guaranteed. Please note that holiday weekends may be skipped; please check the schedule.
