SUMMARY:"As I See It (Anyone Can Cook)" Art Show
DESCRIPTION:Adams Street Library presents Nick DeSantis in his first (ever\, anywhere) photo exhibition. Images captured on trips into “the City” during college and later while living in DUMBO\, “As I See It (Anyone Can Cook)” briefly covers 50 years of looking at Manhattan and Brooklyn from a not-so-common point of view – with one photo from Pennsylvania thrown in to lighten the mood.

SUMMARY:Book Launch: How to Be a Rich Old Lady by Amanda Holden in conversation with Nikita Redkar
DESCRIPTION:Amanda Holden spent years working in investment management\, where she saw exactly who gets access to the power\, ease\, and opportunity money can bring—and it wasn’t people like her friends. She also saw how the financial system is designed to feel exclusive and confusing\, and how it blames individuals for economic problems they didn’t create. So\, Amanda left her finance job to launch Invested Development\, a financial education company where she has taught more than 25\,000 students how to invest with radical clarity\, accessibility\, and joy.\nHere\, all her expertise is packed into a guide that won’t feel like getting cornered by a crypto bro. Instead\, it reads like a text from your smartest friend: “Let’s figure out money\, so we can stop thinking about money.” Because this practice isn’t just about planning for your wild and glorious future—it’s about the relief of knowing you’re doing everything you can right now.\nHow to Be a Rich Old Lady is a step-by-step road map to financial freedom. Not for the sake of chasing numbers in a spreadsheet\, but to build a life that feels secure enough to dream into. Maybe your Rich Old Lady is wearing belly chains at the beach\, tanned and wrinkly and totally unbothered. Maybe she’s befriending the birds at her cozy forest cabin. Maybe she’s leaving $500 tips on her diner coffee. Whatever your vision\, this approachable guide to investing will help you build a plan to greet her with confidence and genuine hope for tomorrow.

SUMMARY:Scorched Earth
DESCRIPTION:“Visceral and sensational\, taking your breath away.” —The Arts Review \nA murder\, an interrogation\, and a clouded world of fantasy and fear. Scorched Earth is part crime-drama\, part thriller that plumbs a dark\, but fundamental part of the Irish psyche. Luke Murphy\, creator of the multi-award-winning Volcano\, blurs the lines of dance and theater to ask: What right do we have to the land beneath our feet? What are we willing to do to keep it? \nInspired by the John B. Keane’s seminal work The Field\, Scorched Earth imagines a detective reopening a cold case\, an unsolved crime twelve years after the fact. As stories are revisited and old wounds are opened\, The Detective and Suspect fall into a world of memory\, fantasy\, ambition and resentment. \nScorched Earth is brought to you by the team who created the multi-award winning production Volcano\, including Luke Murphy (director\, choreographer\, and performer)\, Alyson Cummins (set design)\, Stephen Dodd (lighting)\, and Rob Moloney (music).

Scorched Earth is part crime-drama\, part thriller that plumbs a dark\, but fundamental part of the Irish psyche. What are we willing to do to keep it? \nInspired by the John B. SUMMARY:Adult Hip Hop - Beginners Friendly!
DESCRIPTION:Each class begins with a guided warm-up where everyone gets to know the room: how bodies are moving that day\, who’s in the space\, and what feels good. From there\, choreography is created in real time\, tailored to the abilities\, energy\, and comfort level of the dancers in attendance. No preset routines\, no pressure to “keep up.” \nThe music? That’s chosen on the spot too—based on the vibe everyone’s feeling together in the first few minutes of class. Every class is different\, because every group is different. \nThis is not a commercial dance class and it’s not about performing or perfection. It’s about movement that meets you where you are\, builds confidence\, and feels genuinely good in your body. Thoughtful instruction\, personalized pacing\, and an environment where you can show up exactly as you are. \nCome to dance\, sweat\, reset\, and leave feeling more like yourself.

SUMMARY:Practical Spirituality Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Naomi Shu is excited to explore and share the insights that she has gained through her Quantum Healing Hypnosis practice—work that has deeply accelerated her own spiritual growth. Because all the memories and wisdom are held in the subconscious\, she has uncovered the deeper meaning of life\, who we truly are\, why we’re here\, and the underlying truth behind many of our mental and physical challenges\, such as depression and anxiety. Naomi has learned many of the universe’s deeper mysteries while working with clients\, witnessing perspectives and experiences that most people rarely have access to. \nNaomi is looking forward to sharing these understandings with the world\, helping others see themselves and the universe through broader\, higher perspectives. Every challenge we encounter is something we’ve chosen in order to grow through it. The essence of the soul is to learn\, expand\, and evolve—and when we align with that purpose\, peace and joy naturally follow. \nFinally\, have fun making new friends!

SUMMARY:What Stayed With Me: Opening Night
DESCRIPTION:What Stayed With Me is a solo exhibition by Yehudit Feinstein\, presenting works on paper and canvas created with markers and mixed media. Rooted in memory\, inheritance\, and personal narrative\, the exhibition examines how lived experience is carried forward through repetition\, gesture\, and the accumulation of marks over time.\nFeinstein’s drawings unfold as emotional landscapes\, moving fluidly between the intimate and the collective. Family histories\, moments of rupture\, loss\, and acts of rebuilding surface not as linear stories\, but as traces\, layered\, revisited\, and reworked. Line becomes both language and residue: a way of holding what cannot be fully articulated\, yet refuses to disappear. \nhttps://www.bacistudio.com/calendar
