Drink and Draw: Rodney Ewing – Objects in Perspective
July 2 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Cost: $20

Join visual artist Rodney Ewing—whose powerful mixed-media work explores overlooked histories of the Black Diaspora—as he guides you through the fundamentals of two-point perspective drawing. With a background in drawing, printmaking, and installation, Ewing’s practice bridges memory, fact, and form. In this session, you’ll learn to create three-dimensional objects on a flat surface using horizon lines, vanishing points, and perspective lines to build depth and structure. Starting with a simple cuboid, you’ll follow a step-by-step process to expand and create your own imagined spaces or architectural compositions. All levels welcome—whether you’re new to perspective or refining your technique, this is a rare chance to draw alongside an artist deeply engaged with space, story, and precision.
*20$ for art materials, or bring your own!
